York International Women’s Festival, Mon 4th March (keepsake art talk) at New Earswick Folk Hall, YO32 4AQ; 10am to 7pm.
As part of the Festival, there will be a series of talks to provide support and empowerment provided by the network The Art of Living and Dying (TALD). I am a member of TALD and will deliver a talk from 10am to explain how to create 'keepsake art', i.e. taking photos and memorabilia we hide away in a drawer and turning them into a piece of art to display in the open. Other talks will be given by: Chris Dudzinska from Last Wishes Funerals; Julie Kay a Humanist Celebrant; Anne Wyn-Jones from Ideal Living; and Sylvia Wagner-Bottomer, a Soul Midwife.
